Karl Bort asked me to design the cover for his book entitled ”BAD Juju in Cleveland”. A patrol officer and narcotics detective for 27 years, Karl uses his life experiences as the source for writing his thrilling novels. Karl is a good friend and, along with his co-writer Thekla Madsen, has written a very good book.

AMG Rocks The Kitchen. As a holiday gift to their clients and friends AMG would put together a series of cookbooks. Employees contributed the recipes and a designer would put their creativity to work. I designed this cookbook with a "Rock n' Roll" flavor with each section having a different theme. "Shake, Rattle and Rocks" for drinks, "Classic Rock" for main dishes and so on. Tons of fun and a Cleveland Addy Award-winner.
In the examples shown here, SES (Steel Equipment Specialists), and BGL (Brown Gibbons Lang & Company) investment bankers, we started with a blank sheet of paper, designed a corporate logo, developed a consistent, distinctive look, and went from there.
